Home Renovation Services in Western New York
When people talk about renovating their home, they usually mean one room. Ceiling to Cellar means the whole house — the kitchen that’s a decade out of date, the basement that’s been unfinished since you bought the place, the bathroom that needs a full gut, the rooms you walk past without really seeing anymore. Mid City Home Restoration handles all of it.
We work across Erie and Niagara counties. Kitchen remodeling, bathroom renovation, basement finishing, full room overhauls. The same licensed crew handles the whole project — you’re not managing a rotation of subcontractors. One team, one schedule, one set of conversations from estimate to walkthrough.
Our Services
- Kitchen Remodeling — Cabinets, countertops, tile, lighting, layout changes. From targeted updates to complete gut-and-rebuilds. Typical range: $18,000–$45,000.
- Bathroom Renovation — Walk-in showers, tub-to-shower conversions, tile, vanity replacement, fixture upgrades. Typical range: $12,000–$28,000.
- Basement Finishing — Framing, drywall, flooring, recessed lighting, egress windows if needed. Turns dead storage space into livable square footage. Typical range: $20,000–$50,000.
- Full Room Renovation — Living rooms, home offices, dining rooms, bedrooms. Whatever room is next on the list.
- Whole-Home Renovation — Multiple rooms or systems at once. One contractor, one schedule. This is what Ceiling to Cellar is built for.
Why Choose Mid City Home Restoration
Most renovation companies specialize in one thing. That works right up until you need more than one thing done — and then you’re coordinating three contractors, three different schedules, and three separate billing conversations. We built MHR to handle the full scope, which is why we named this site what we did.
We give written estimates with line-item breakdowns. We stick to them unless you change the scope. We pull every permit the job requires. We answer the phone. These things sound basic, and they are — they’re just not universal in this industry.

We work throughout Erie and Niagara counties: Buffalo, Amherst, Williamsville, Tonawanda, West Seneca, Orchard Park, Cheektowaga, Lockport, Niagara Falls, and the surrounding area. If you’re not sure whether we cover your town, call us — we almost certainly do.

How We Work
Every project starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch. One of our project leads comes out to your home, walks through the space with you, and listens to what you’re trying to accomplish. We ask a lot of questions. What’s driving the project? What’s the timeline? What’s happened with contractors in the past that you don’t want to repeat?
Then we write a fixed-price proposal. Not a range, not an estimate subject to change — a number you can make a real decision with. We hold to it unless you change the scope, and if something unexpected comes up mid-project, we tell you before we proceed, not after.
Our crews are full-time employees, not day-labor subcontractors assembled for each job. They’ve worked together, they know our standards, and they’re accountable to us and to you. When the job is done, we do a walk-through with you and don’t call it complete until you’re satisfied.
Serving Western New York
Ceiling 2 Cellar takes on whole-home renovation projects across the Buffalo metro area and surrounding communities — Buffalo, Tonawanda, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Amherst, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Batavia, and the towns in between. If you’re in Erie or Niagara County, we can help.
We’re familiar with the older housing stock across WNY — the 1950s ranch homes in Cheektowaga, the center-hall colonials in Amherst, the Victorian-era builds in the city. Older homes have their own quirks: knob-and-tube wiring tucked behind plaster, lead pipes behind walls, floors that haven’t been level since Eisenhower. We’ve seen all of it. We don’t disappear when things get complicated.
